Alternative Email | Staff Members Required to Update PeopleSoft
Posted by Jeremy-Dane Ferguson on 23 January 2019 02:27 PM

All Members of Staff

With an increase in phishing attacks and other online fraudulent activities, information technology security has become a major concern to all users. In an effort to protect the privacy of our stakeholders and the business integrity of The University of the West Indies, ALL members of staff are now required to log on to PeopleSoft in order to provide an alternative email address.

Upon contacting Mona Information Technology Services (MITS) - User Support Services Section, for the reactivation of your staff domain account, a randomly generated password will be automatically sent to the alternative email account provided. Following this, the automatically generated password can then be changed to one of your choice by following the password change process.

It is imperative that all members of staff update the PeopleSoft Platform with an alternative email address to allow for re-activation to an automatically generated password. Re-activating domain accounts to the date of birth is no longer secure and will no longer be facilitated effective, Friday, January 25th, 2019.
